  • Sign in to your cPanel account.
  • Click the ‘backup’ option in the files section.

    • Click on the “download a full website backup” button present under ‘full backup’.

    • You will find a drop-down menu, where you need to select a backup destination to ‘Remote FTP server’ and then add your email address so that you get a notification after completing the backup.

    Remote Server: FTP IP address or FTP domain name like ftp.example.com,
    Remote User: Your FTP Username
    Remote Password: Your FTP Password
    Port: 21 or other FTP Port
    Remote Dir: Remote Directory like /home/username/backupfolder/

    • After filling the remote FTP details, choose ‘generate backup button’

  • Click ‘backups’ menu if it’s not open, present under “SiteWorx Menu”,
  • Choose the ‘management’ option

    • Find the “Restore account from backup” option and then choose “Use a file already on the server” from the menu.
    • Select the “Continue” button.

    • In your ‘confirmation’ option, choose a partial backup from the menu and click on ‘restore’

    • Choose your backup type & location.
      Backup Type: Full Backup.
      Backup Where: Default Location.
      Select the “Continue” button

    • Add your e-mail address in the “E-mail status to” area present under the “Create Backup” icon.
    • Choose the “Backup” option.

    You would be redirected to the “Management” page automatically where you will find the status of backup progress and then you can easily download the backup to your computer. After creating the backup, you may get a notification.

    • In the next step, click Full or Partial Backup option present under “Select Partial Backup“. After that you must click on “Home Directory” to install home directory only, or if you want to download “MySQL Databases“, choose MySQL Database“.
