    • Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

    • Scroll down further, and check the ‘settings’ tab, change the order to CD ROM, and Hard disk.

    • Select the “CDRom” field and if you see that the CD-ROM has been already mounted, then click on unmounts. After that, choose your operating system and click on “Mount”

    • Reboot the VPS by choosing “Reboot“, and then you will see a confirmation window. Click ‘yes’ on it

    • Quickly click ‘VNC’

    • The new page will open quickly and then click on the ‘Java VNC client’ or on the ‘VNC’ button.

    • OS will ask you to “Press any button to start OS Installation” while booting. Press any key on the keyboard and then your OS Installation/Reinstallation would begin. It would show you an option like “Install OS”,  “Test this media”. For OS Installation/Reinstallation, you can select “Install OS” and hit enter.

    Once the installation begins while setting up the OS and asks you to create partitions, set-root/admin passwords, etc.

     

    After the installation is complete, don”t forget to set your VPS Boot Order to “(1) Hard Disk (2) CDROM“, otherwise it will reboot your VPS and start in installation mode, instead of normal mode.

    How to reboot VPS via Command line?

    This is one of the best methods to reboot your VPS via the Command line because it may stop all the processes and after that, it helps you initiate the reboot process.

    • Sign in to the SSH Client.
    • Enter this command “shutdown -r now”

    Once after executing this command, you may have to wait for some time, and then the VPS will start rebooting. If you find that VPS is not online after 5-10 minutes, it’s better to reboot the VPS from the SolusVM.

    8.  Write all the appropriate information in the “Site Settings” field:

    • Site Name: Write the forum name “Your Domain Name – My Forum Name”

    • Admin Username: Your new Unclassified NewsBoard username (Avoid using “Administrator” or the “Admin”)
    • Admin Password: Type strong password.

    Note: Remember your admin username and password or copy that on a notepad as you will be required to add these login details for the access of the admin area of your Unclassified NewsBoard Forum.

     

    10.  Choose the language of your choice in the “Language”

    • You can choose your native language. English is by-default.

     

    11.  Advanced Options: Again, leave it as it is. In case, you want to edit the Database name or you require an automatic backup, you may need to make changes.

    Remember: Creating many backups will have most of the disk space.

     

    12.  At the end of your screen, click on the “install”
