• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down further, and check the ‘VNC password’ enter a new password in the VNC text box. Click to change

• It would immediately prompt for confirmation. Click ‘yes’ and it would reboot the VPS.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down further, and check the ‘root/admin password’ and click on ‘change’

• It would immediately prompt for confirmation. Click ‘yes’

• It could take some time to change your password and then it would display it. Copy your password to notepad

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down, and check ‘hostname’, enter the hostname in your text box, present under ‘new hostname’

• Reboot will not be required as the hostname is changed for reference purposes only.

Example hostnames:

server1.example.com
hostingserver.example.com

• Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down further, and check the ‘settings’ tab, find ACPI, APIC, PAE or VNC. If you need to disable the VNC, then choose the ‘off’ option from the drop-down menu.

• After making all the necessary changes, reboot VPS.

• Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down further, and check the ‘settings’ tab, change the order to CD ROM, and Hard disk.

• Select the “CDRom” field and if you see that the CD-ROM has been already mounted, then click on unmounts. After that, choose your operating system and click on “Mount”

• Reboot the VPS by choosing “Reboot“, and then you will see a confirmation window. Click ‘yes’ on it

• Quickly click ‘VNC’

• The new page will open quickly and then click on the ‘Java VNC client’ or on the ‘VNC’ button.

• Click “Ok” or enter “Continue” and you will see a “Security Warning“. If it seems Ok, then accept and click the ‘run’ button.

• OS will ask you to “Press any button to start OS Installation” while booting. Press any key on the keyboard and then your OS Installation/Reinstallation would begin. It would show you an option like “Install OS”,  “Test this media”. For OS Installation/Reinstallation, you can select “Install OS” and hit enter.

Once the installation begins while setting up the OS and asks you to create partitions, set-root/admin passwords, etc.

After the installation is complete, don”t forget to set your VPS Boot Order to “(1) Hard Disk (2) CDROM“, otherwise it will reboot your VPS and start in installation mode, instead of normal mode.

• Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down to find a ‘reinstall’ option

• You may find different options. Choose the operating system which you need to reinstall. Like if you want to install CentOS 7, select it.

• Scroll down and go to the bottom of the page, click “Reinstall“.

• Click ‘yes’ on the confirmation window

It will show you a message that reinstallation will take a few minutes and you will also see admin/root password. Copy this password on notepad as you may need it later to access the VPS account later.

• Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down to find a ‘VNC’ option

• You will see a new VNC page. Choose “Java VNC Client” or click on “VNC”

• It would immediately prompt you for confirmation. Click “Ok” or enter “Continue” and you will see a “Security Warning“. If it seems Ok, then accept and click the ‘run’ button.

• The VNC Area will resemble the following screenshot:

Note: If you see some kinds of errors like “Java Blocked”, you would need to white-list your VPS control panel in the Java Security List. After that, it would show you “Java plugin not installed”, then you can install Java software on your computer.

• Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

• If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

• Scroll down to find a reboot option

• You will see a confirmation window and click ‘yes’

It may take a few seconds or minutes and you can reboot the VPS.

How to reboot VPS via Command line?

This is one of the best methods to reboot your VPS via the Command line because it may stop all the processes and after that, it helps you initiate the reboot process.

• Sign in to the SSH Client.
• Enter this command “shutdown -r now”

Once after executing this command, you may have to wait for some time, and then the VPS will start rebooting. If you find that VPS is not online after 5-10 minutes, it’s better to reboot the VPS from the SolusVM.

2.  Right under the “SiteWorx Menu” > “Hosting Features”.

3.  Select the “Softaculous”

4.  SiteWork will redirect you to the Softaculous interface.

5.  Navigate to “Forums” at the left side of your screen, click on it, “Unclassified NewsBoard” link will appear, again, click on it.

6.  Finally, tap on the “Install”

7.  Now, write all the appropriate information in the relevant fields:

• Choose Protocol: leave this as it is.
• Choose Domain: leave this as it is. You will only need to make changes If you have multiple domains.
• In Directory: If you want to install this in a directory, like testdomain.com/forums, enter the directory name. Else, leave this blank to install in your main domain testdomain.com

8.  Write all the appropriate information in the “Site Settings” field:

• Site Name: Write the forum name “Your Domain Name – My Forum Name”

9.  Write all the appropriate information under the “Admin Account” field:

• Admin Username: Your new Unclassified NewsBoard username (Avoid using “Administrator” or the “Admin”)
• Admin Password: Type strong password.
• Admin Email: Write your e-mail address.

Note: Remember your admin username and password or copy that on a notepad as you will be required to add these login details for the access of the admin area of your Unclassified NewsBoard Forum.

10.  Choose the language of your choice in the “Language”

• You can choose your native language. English is by-default.

11.  Advanced Options: Again, leave it as it is. In case, you want to edit the Database name or you require an automatic backup, you may need to make changes.

Remember: Creating many backups will have most of the disk space.

12.  At the end of your screen, click on the “install”

• SiteWork will redirect you to the Softaculous interface.
• Navigate to “Forums” at the left side of your screen, click on it, “Beehive” link will appear, again, click on it.

• Finally, tap on the “Install”

• Now, write all the appropriate information in the relevant fields:

Choose Protocol: leave this as it is.

Choose Domain: leave this as it is. You will only need to make changes If you have multiple domains.

In Directory: If you want to install this in a directory, like testdomain.com/forums, enter the directory name. Else, leave this blank to install in your main domain testdomain.com

Default Forum Webtag: Forumtag like “MyBeehive_Forum”

• Write all the appropriate information under the “Admin Account” field:

Admin Username: Your new Beehive username (Avoid using “Administrator” or the “Admin” username.)

Admin Password: Type strong password.

Admin Email: Write your e-mail address.

Note: Remember your admin username and password or copy that on a notepad as you will be required to add these login details for the access of the admin area of your Beehive Forum.
