However, in order to change the password of your FTP account, follow this guide.

  • Sign in to your SiteWorx account.
  • Click ‘hosting features’ present under ‘SiteWorx’ menu
  • Click the ‘FTP’ option from the menu and choose ‘accounts’

  • Under ‘Actions’ list select an appropriate account to edit
  • Find your “Change Password” and “Confirm Password” tabs, enter the new password button to create a new password.
  • Click the “Save” button.

Now, you can access the FTP account with your new password

    Follow these simple steps to create an FTP account in cPanel:

    1. Sign-in to your cPanel account.

    3. Locate “Add FTP Account” option, underneath it, Type the following details:
    • Log in: Your FTP Username e.g., User1.
    • Password: type a strong password. You can also use the ‘Password Generator’
    • Directory: For public access, enter “public_html” or change folder address to a different folder address like “public_html/User1”. Due to this, the FTP user will have access to that specific User1 Moreover, the FTP user could not access the folders outside of the “public_html/User1”.
    1. Specify your Quota/Limit: choose the limit or select the unlimited option.
    2. Finally, click the “Create FTP Account”

    Access your newly created FTP account by entering the following data.

    • Host: Enter your Website IP address or website name like ftp.example.com
    • Username: NewFTPUser@example.com
    • FTP Port: 21 (Default port is 21)
    • FTP Password: Type your FTP Password
